Christmas Cheer!

It has been an eventful week in the life of Alice! She attended her first holiday party on Sunday where she met Santa for the first time!! She was great - no tears - not even a look of distress when jolly ole Santa had her on his lap.
We snapped a family shot at the Kingswood holiday party. There were over 40 kids there all under the age of 10! They did arts and crafts for the first half of the party and then for the second half they all told Santa just what they wanted for Christmas. It was the cutest thing ever. SO many adorable kids there.Below is Alice doing a photo shoot for her mother. I thought she looked so adorable in her holiday outfit that I wanted to get a picture of her by the tree. She loved looking at that Polar Bear. I don't know what that indicates about her future plans....

The next couple photos were from Friday at work. On Fridays Alice comes into the office with me and then hangs out with one of the lacrosse players, Kristin Phelps, while I teach my fitness class. Once class is over Alice and I make the rounds saying hello to the women in the office downstairs and we always make time to say hi to Auntie Anne. We call it our "social day." Anne decided to try putting some "stockings" on Alice. As you can see she looks like quite the elf!
Kristin has been an incredible help to us, looking after Alice every Friday. We all know that Alice can take awhile to warm up to people, but remarkable she took to Kristin right away. I snapped a quick pic of the happy pair on their last Friday together before the holiday!
Lastly, Alice had her 6 month check up last week. She is doing well. She is 15lbs 15oz (50%) 26 inches (75%) with a head measuring in the 90 percentile!! Her latest trick has been to reach for things on the floor. You can tell she wants to start crawling. She pushes her bum up in the air and kicks with her feet but she hasn't put all the steps together yet. It's pretty funny to watch her try though! She is battling a little bit of a cold right now but will hopefully recover in time for the holiday!

We are looking forward to heading up to Maine at the end of this week!!

Here are some pictures of Thanksgiving. We had a GREAT time with so much family around. Alice was in heaven!!

Alice had a great time staying at Grandma Ali's house!

Cuddling with Grandpa Ken!

Alice loved having her Great Grandmother Pat to hang out with!

One of my favorite photos!! Two happy girls!!

Clearly Uncle Peter and Aunt Kristi are a LOT of fun!

Alice loves her bottle...

Apparently she loves Daddy's bottle too!

Some quality bonding with Joyce!

Having a good time with Cousin Casey, too!

Not a good hand from the looks of it!!

Hanging out with the Chapins was a great way to cap off the holiday!

Our first attempt at rice cereal. It started out ok...

Looks like it will take some getting used too!

Upon our return we got to catch up with Auntie Anne!

Alice is ready for the winter weather. Bring on the snow!

She is getting in the holiday spirit too with her first tree!!

Sunday Morning Fun!

Here are some pictures of Alice this morning. She was her typical fiesty self - kicking off her slippers and blanket before passing out. Here is a sequence of her activity...
Playing on her mat with her new bunny slippers on!
Now in her bouncey, having successfully kicked off one slipper - looking very pleased with herself!
MISCHIEVOUS FEET!!
Ahhh...SUCCESS!! No more slippers!
HAPPY FEET!!
Still plotting...
And...tah dah! Who needs blankets and slippers, anyway?
I sure showed them who's boss!
Jeez, that was exhausting!

What a weekend!

Alice had a great time this weekend! The fun all began on Friday afternoon when she had a lunch date with Ryan McPhee. We met up with Julia and Ryan at First and Last so that the two love birds could spend some more time together. Alice doesn't quite know what dating is all about as she slept for most of the date. She did perk up a little towards the end and flashed a few cute smiles Ryan's way!

Just a few hours later we greeted our guests for the evening. We were lucky enough to host both Grandma Ali and Grandma Net along with Cooper, Isabel, Jenn and Grandma Carolyn. Alice was SO excited! While she didn't totally perk up until the following day she did have fun playing with her Aunt Jenn and her two cousins.

Saturday morning we were all up bright and early getting ready to head down to Rockaway for cousin Eva's christening. Alice was in great spirits from the start of the day, enjoying some early morning time with her great grandmothers. By the time we were able to organize the troops it was 8:30, which gave us an 11am arrival in Rockaway.

Awaiting us in Rockaway was Uncle Chan, Aunt Karen, Eva, Aunt Kristi and Uncle Peter! We had a warm welcome from the Mullens and quickly readied the little ones for a walk since it was such a beautiful day. With Cooper, Alice and Isabel in tow we went for a very pleasant walk to the local deli and pastry shop. When we returned from our walk Grandpa Ken and Uncle Josh had arrived! Alice was in heaven with so much family around to entertain her.

Alice in her hat from fellow math teacher, Casey!

Alice wearing her monogrammed overalls from Missy Foote!

Eva's christening was just beautiful. Eva looked like a little angel! Alice and I were having such a good time at Eva's party that we extended our departure time by an hour but finally had to hit the road around 4:30pm. We arrived home and had dinner with Dad!
Alice and the Trinity Bantam!
Ryan with his Dad, Andy!
Sunday was awesome! The weather could not have been nicer. We had a wonderful walk in the morning and then Alice and I headed into Trinity to cheer on the field hockey team in the conference championship game! While we were excited to see the game we also enjoyed the socializing as we ran into Cam Cataruzolo and Ryan McPhee with both of their parents. We snapped some great pictures of the little ones and the Trinity Bantam even posed for a few pictures with the baby bants! While Trinity didn't come out on top, it was a well played game and very exciting for the spectators.

Cam with his Dad, Dave!

Al tuckered girl after all the fun and excitement!

Alice Rolling...

And She's Rolling...

Good Morning! Alice and I are enjoying our one day at home this week! I'm having some coffee and Alice is rolling all over the place! She rolled from tummy to back last week for the first time but it seemed like a fluke so there wasn't much cause for reporting. Well, I take it back...she knows just what she's doing and has already rolled from tummy to back 3 times today! I actually caught the last one on film so I'll try to upload that later today. Very exciting. With her new giggling she's really reaching some exciting benchmarks these days!
We had a wonderful visit from Grandma Sue this weekend. Sue took over our curtain project for the sunroom and delivered the first installment this weekend. They are spectacular! I snapped a few photos during the installation process. We are so excited about these curtains. We had been talking about doing them ourselves for quite some time and then Sue had the good sense to take them out of our hands if there was any hope of them getting done correctly! They are just perfect and we are so grateful!

Alice has been quite the sports fan these days. She's been to nearly all of her father's home games and recently saw the field hockey team play two games on Friday and Sunday. She met her friend Cam Cataruzolo who is just 2 weeks older than her! We are hoping for some more play dates in the future for these two! With the weather getting more chilly, her pink patagonia suit from Uncle Chan and Aunt Karen has been very handy!

Alice and I are really looking forward to having a few visitors on Friday night and then traveling to Rockaway for Eva's christening on Saturday. Should be a great weekend of family fun!

Hi Everyone!! This will be a short report of Alice. She is doing well and staying healthy! She has started going to daycare three days/week now. We are seriously hoping that this extra day helps her feel more comfortable and familiar while she's there. It's a little frustrating that she seems to be fairly fussy while at daycare since she's so smiley and content at home. We think with a little more time she'll learn to feel more relaxed there.
I'll post more pictures later today but thought you'd like to see our little pumpkin with her Daddy!
