This week Alice had her 4-month check up with her pediatrician. She is doing well - basically in the 75 percentile for height and weight. She's now a whopping 13lbs 11oz and measuring 24 inches long. She had another round of shots that she took very well. She seems to be quite a tough little girl. I spent a lot of time talking with her doctor about her eating and sleeping habits. We are going to begin supplementing her with some formula to up her daily calorie intake. We are also attempting to be more strict about her sleeping in her crib as opposed to her beloved bouncy seat. So far so good. She cried for a bit on Wednesday night but was actually much better last night. We are hopeful that this is a quick fix but time will tell!
Alice had an excellent week at daycare. Her teachers commented on her cuddly nature and smiley disposition in her daily report. She seems to be developing a nice relationship with the other baby, Liam, as they both like to stare at one another. It's very cute. Alice is also much easier to drop off, not getting fussy at all when I leave (or at least not soon enough for me to know!). I was quite impressed that on Monday, after a week of not being a daycare, when we arrived she was as smiley as ever. Clearly she is enjoying this social time.
These pictures are from our morning today. We had a chance to make use of her matching sweater and hat (a great hand-me-down from Isabel!) since it was a little chilly this morning. Her walks at daycare and at home seem to always result in a nap. Here is a before and after!
We are looking forward to the weekend. We are planning on attending a few games tomorrow, cheering on Trinity Field Hockey in the morning and then KO soccer in the afternoon. Hopefully the weather cooperates!
I LOVE these pictures. I wish I could grab her out of the computer screen and give her a big squeeze. I can't wait to see her in person this weekend! Finally!!
ReplyDeleteI had that same reaction. You just want to squeeze her. She looks so cute in the matching hat and sweater. And it looked like she was dancing to the beat of the songs in her big bouncy playground. Yes, we suspected that she's one tough little cookie. I'm not sure you want to put any kind of stick in her hand as she gets older! Love, Gumma
